During the First Annual White Sands Classic, a charity golf tournament sponsored by Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Cafe, Roebuck Auctions, a national real estate auction-marketing firm, donated their auction services to help raise money for Children in Crisis, a charity that provides homes to abused, neglected and abandoned children in our community.
The event kicked off with a golf tournament on Monday, October 6 at the Raven Golf Club at Sandestin Resort, where thousands of dollars was raised thanks to the collective efforts of volunteers, donations and sponsorships. Roebuck Auctions not only played in the tournament, but also donated a little something extra, their auction services for the live auction event held that evening at Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café. Chris Camp, owner of Roebuck Auctions Florida Division, auctioned off various items including Tommy Bahama shirts and meals at the Café, with all proceeds benefitting the charity. The auction helped raise thousands more, making the First Annual White Sands Classic a huge success.
Since February 2008, Children in Crisis and The Children’s Neighborhood has provided homes to 46 children, and thanks to the collective efforts during this charity event they will be able to help countless more. Chris Camp, owner of Roebuck Auctions Florida Division, commented, “Roebuck Auctions is honored to be a part of this charitable event and we look forward to many more to come.”
